Mixers, blenders and dryers can be extremely hazardous machines and often have large rotating elements inside drums to mix the contents. GE Security Industrial’s 391-BT highly defeat resistant switches are used with the INT Safety Monitor Relays to interlock the loading doors of these machines, preventing operation of the mixing elements before the machines are sealed. Operators are protected from being caught and pulled into the drums. As a safety system, the 300-BT Series switches used with the INT Series safety monitor relays can meet both Risk Category 3 and 4 of the European Machine Directive.
