CHICAGO, MARCH 16, 1998 Sentrol Industrial* Introduces
New Series 341-BT Sentrol Industrial* today introduced its new Series 341-BT non-contact Safety Interlock Switch. When used with Sentrol Industrial's Model INT safety relay, the switch is UL, CSA, TUV and CE certified, and thereby approved for risk categories I-IV. Incorporating patented circuitry developed by Sentrol Industrial, the 341-BT is among the most defeat-resistant switches of its kind on the market. The highly defeat-resistant switches consist of multiple reeds with varying orientation and matched to individual coded magnets during manufacturing process. A single INT safety relay operates up to fifty 341-BTs; the switch is available with additional circuitry to accommodate applications requiring individual switch monitoring. Magnetic action gives the 341-BT exceptional versatility. The switch can activate through wood, aluminum, stainless steel and any other non-ferrous material, with its status indicated through a built-in LED display. Measuring 2" in length by 1" in width, it also mounts in tight spaces, including inside of machines for maximum operator safety. An impervious Kynar® housing equips the 341-BT for use in the harshest of environments. Its DPST circuitry is completely sealed in polyurethane and the housing lid is secured with an ultrasonic weld. This combination protects the switch against damage from most chemicals, water or other liquid contaminants. Manufactured in Sentrol's state-of-the-art, ISO 9001-certified plant in Tualatin, Oregon, all 341-BT switches are subjected to rigorous 100 percent testing to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability. They are available through a network of select distributors throughout North America, and are backed by a five year warranty. Sentrol Industrial is a market leader in the development and manufacture of safety interlock switches and position sensors for industrial applications. Specified on thousands of product lines in various industries, Sentrol Industrial switches are designed to resist defeat attempts thereby helping prevent injuries and reduce liability exposure. *Sentrol and Sentrol Industrial are now GE Security Industrial
