PRODUCTS Safety Switches GE Security Industrial safety interlock switches are used to detect the opening of guards—including doors, gates and/or removable covers—that prevent access to dangerous parts of a machine, and to help deter tampering with the guards or the internal machine controls.
The INTs are safety monitoring relays are designed to be used with the 300-BT switches. INTs are force-guided FailSafe and DIN Rail mountable. Safety switches are used to detect the opening of machine guard doors, gates or panels and to prevent physical access to dangerous areas of the machine. All mechanical safety switches are equipped with positive opening contacts that open any normally closed contacts to assure machine shutdown when an unsafe condition is detected. The FailSafe GuardSwitch is designed as a safety interlock to be attached to a machine’s guard or door. Unlike a standard reed switch interlock, the circuit has been designed to have an “open” failure mode. The circuit will draw up to 4.5A to blow the fuse in less than 200ms. Along with being FailSafe, all the 200 series switches have non-coded actuators. Industrial Interlock Switches The 100 Series are non-contact interlock position switches with switching voltage models available up to 250 Volts. There are many models to fit a wide variety of applications.
The 300 Series are highly defeat-resistant interlock switches with a normally open circuit and coded actuators. These switches have five different housing styles with switching voltages up to 120 Volts. Most are conservatively rated at 100,000 cycles under full load, and 10,000,000 cycles under dry circuit.
